Why is this happening? Help me!

Hi, Ok I have a dell laptop inspiron E1505, I really need help with this malware or whatever it is ! I didn’t have a good virus protection, and at the time of infection a prompt kept coming up something like you can delete this virus but you may lose files, damage your computer or it may not restart! I got frustrated seeing the same thing, so instead of downloading a better virus protector I press yes and my computer shut down on me. It restarted, and then I got the virus protector like a dummy. But now Im getting prompts that say, “___dllc:/windows/system32/lasbemo.dll file image does not exists check this against you diskette!! its a buch off different ones. Im lost, Im not good with computer’s if your gonna help I need A LOT of detail. Thanks =) unlock iphone 3g

Why do all anti-virus/spyware box covers look the same? They always have a smiling professional looking person/family on the box cover. Not that I have a problem with it, but you’d think “those” kind of people would be the least likely to receive a nasty virus.

I’ve been using Freez flv to mp3 converter for youtube videos. I use the highest quality videos I can find. Thanks to the new video info feature, I knew I was watching Judgement On by Force of Nature at 81 kbps at 44.1 kHz. When I converted it, the quality evidently became 90 kbps at 48 kHz, according to Freez and iTunes. How is this possible?

I had the blue screen for so long, I had to reset it and b/c i had no hard drive I lost all my work. I have been trying to get in touch with trend micro but I can’t find a phone that will work. What can I do, I paid worth a year, and already uninstalled it on november, and evr since my computer works way better. I want my refund but I cant seem to get in touch with anyone. I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn’t any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it’s frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. If it’s not viruses, and geek squad said everything is fine with the computer physically, then what is it?
I’ve had my laptop since like April, and just at the beginning of this month it started getting really slow (online and offline), and eventually started warning me about how my hard disk is apparently bad, and I should send it to my manufacturer or something. I was able to hit cancel on these notifications and ignore them, and go about whatever I was doing. I don’t want to buy a whole new laptop :(. Maybe ignoring the warnings of imminent failure wasn’t wise, but I can’t even boot up right anymore. It was just a bad hard disk, I don’t think I had any terrible viruses. In fact I don’t even know what caused this. —-the question——- But yeah, if I bought a new hard drive, would that fix everything? I’d be pretty much back to where I was when I first got the thing, assuming I bought a hard drive of the same size? —————————– I assume it’s the slightly cheaper option as opposed to buying a whole new laptop (Dell Studio 15). If I did, would I just unscrew/take out the hard drive in there now, buy a new one and screw that one in? And I’m good to go? I don’t care about the files that were on there, I’m not losing anything important. But like I said, it’s only the hard disk that’s bad, as far as I know. I don’t think the whole laptop is garbage or anything. It was only $700, but still… While I was getting prompts about this stuff, it recommended I take these instructions and print them/save them onto my flash drive: ” Instructions For Fixing Hard Disk Errors: We strongly recommend that you backup your computer to avoid potential data loss. After you have backed up your computer, you should contact your computer manufacturer or other hardware technical support to determine if the disk with errors needs to be repaired or replaced. We recommend that you store these printed instructions together with the media used to back up your data (for example, the CDs or USB flash drive used to store your backup), so that everything you need to fix your computer is in one place. The following information is provided to help the hardware technical support person diagnose the hard disk with errors. Disk Name: Hitachi HTS543225L9A300 ATA Device Volume: D:\;C:\” If someone who knows about this stuff could help me out, tell me what to do, that would be much appreciated.

because i’m scared to death. something popped up saying warning. and stuff about viruses and malware. and i dont know wat t odo cuz norton 360 expired a long time ago. and this is my aunt’s computer. so i’m just scared of getting in trouble for this cuz i have been looking up porn. T-T
sometimes i have a full signal then i suddenly loose connection sometimes i have a low signal then the connection drops completely i tried changing the channel on my router, that did no good i tried power cycling my broadcom card has the latest driver i tried disabling all my antivirus software i am using network magic, so i am thinking i have to manually set an ip address for my computer, but i don’t know for sure
I have a piece of adware on my computer that I obviously wish to get rid of (it slows down my computer… -.-). Avira Free Version is a perfectly fine antivirus program, but apparently it does not have this (insert obscene adjective here) adware on its detection list. I looked into this adware a bit more and found that AVG should have it on its detection list, which would mean a for me and a for the adware… elimation of the adware in other words. There are several problems with this idea, though. 1. I am not sure about this, but I believe I read somewhere that having multiple AVs (AntiVirus) may cause confliction between programs… is this true? (read titular question for the specifics) 2. Supposing that the above question were answered with a “Yes”, I would have to remove Avira. I have also read that this action is difficult to fully complete… is this true and if so, how would I go about screwing the adware (FYI it is called WhenU SaveNow, and it is despicable in my personal opinion)? 3. Should someone else incidentally have this (virus? adware? program?)… thing… and have successfully removed it, could you answer back with your solution? Notes about the *censor*ing software… I am aware that you (ahem) should (ahem) be able to remove the “thing” (I refuse to name it except in an above example) in Windows’ Add/Remove Programs panel. It is not a part of the list of removable items, so I assume it must have latched onto a download (silly brother >:O). Because my computer is second-hand, it has a variety of rather shifty programs (in my paranoid opinion). Flock I think is decent, Limewire… not so decent, my idiot brother’s downloads off Limewire… VERY untrustworthy. However, the adware might have been present before that bozo downloaded Limewire, so I can’t fix the blame on Limewire. Also, this adware updates itself and seems to “read” the content on the web pages I browse and display related content… fortunately, it does not understand Mandarin. The adware PHAILS (phails, fails, same thing) in that it displays its unconvincingly poor “Click me” (the “click me” idea is displayed in many ways…) ideas in Internet Explorer while I browse in Mozilla Firefox -.- Any solution would be welcome.
i gota virus or someting from btjunkie im sure ur familiar with that site. i go on theyre and get games like i normally do and one of them ****** up my pc. i used avg and some other thing and it helped alittle bit. at first it wouldnt even let me pull up task manager to end something that wasnt working. but my pc isnt completly healed. its slow as a mofu, and my internet connection changed to 10.0 mbps. and it freezes at times and i need to reboot it. but when i turn it on bfore i can do anything something pops up and says error loading C:\WWINDOWS\system32\msaouahn.dll the specified module could not be found
My kid’s computer has got a virus on it, I need to connect to the internet while in Safe Mode with Networking, but I while in the correct mode there is no internet connection. I am using wireless internet, I just tried to physically connect the computer with the actual internet cord and that did not work.

My computer (xp) kept on showing this message about this csrss.exe thing….i have no experience with computers but i looked it up and it said that it’s a system file or it cud be a virus??? i searched my computer for csrss.exe files and 3 results came up….i’ll copy them onto this but can anybody tell me if any of these are viruses or not? please CSRSS.EXE-03323C54.pf location=C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch csrss.exe location=C:\WINDOWS\system32 csrss.exe location=C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i38… P.S. i scanned them with AVG but it said that it has no infections…i don’t know if i shud trust AVG I also scanned my whole computer with AVg and the sign about the csrss.exe doesn’t come up anymore but i need to know if any of those files are viruses or not…thanks for the help
Recently my computer has been popping up blue stop screens, it has something to do with thekernell memory dump or something, so I copied all my files onto my flash drive and now the flash drives has a file on it that is saved as “BOOTEX”. When I open the file it says “Checking file system on E: The type of the file system is FAT. The volume is dirty.” What does this mean? It wasn’t there until I copied the files to it after the stop screens started. It also says my hard disk has a bad block. Is this a virus???
So i had this virus, Security Tool, so i removed it manually by watching a video on youtube. then when i removed it, the next time i logged onto my computer it said Windows could not find Logon.exe. I’ve tried System Restore (I have an XP by the way) and I don’t know what to do next. Do i need to pay for someone to fix it!?
My anti virus for comodo internet security won’t update. A reminder popped up saying it was out of date. So i tried to manually update it. it stops at 51% and says “failed to update the virus signature database. Please check your internet connection and try again later”. not sure what it means since my internet is running just fine

I just got kaspersky internet security yesterday and I scaned my computer with a full scan and it found viruses… So I tried to quarantine them but every time i do that it asks me to open a file.. I’ve never seen that from any antivirus programs.. THere is also another option: ” clear all” which deletes report entry.. is that how you delete the infection or is there another way?

Every time I run “Malwarebytes” or “Spybot Search and Destroy” or my “Mcafee virus scan” in SAFE MODE it goes so far after finding “ErrorSmart” Malware then gives me Blue screen of Death. In normal mode they find the virus and they either wont delete and remove or they freeze up: This is what I get on “Spybot Search and Destroy” Company: Product: ErrorSmart Threat: Malware Description ErrorSmart claims to be an antispyware solution. When the user scans his computer with ErrorSmart hundreds of alleged problems will be found. If the user wants to fix this misidentified threads he has to purchase a licence. ErrorSmart is in close relation to SpywareBOT, AdwareAlert and other malicious software. When I use google and try to go onto websites I get redirected to Anti-virus software advertisements.. and Fake Virus scans.
the power of your subconscious mind
Every time I try to log on to that site, I get redirected to Google (and when I try to look up my wish list, it’s like my browser automatically replaces “metawishlist” with “google” and gives me a B.S. “not found” message). Did metawishlist go down, or is there some spyware/virus causing this? Thanks!

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista. I downloaded a MS word file which was attached to an email (no viruses, as far as I know). I then right clicked on the icon and renamed the file. A new icon with the new name appeared, and works fine to open the file. The old icon remained on the desktop and will neither open nor delete. When I try to open it it asks what program to use (even though it’s a .doc), I pick Word, then nothing happens. When I try to drag it to the recycle bin it says it’s no longer located on the desktop and I need to verify its location. It says its size is 0 bytes. Tried restarting, shutting down and booting back up, still there. What should I do?

Last night my computer rebooted without warning or explanation. It came back up with everything normal seeming so I assumed it was one of those bastard windows updates. About an hour later I was using firefox and then it stopped responding to clocks. Outside of firefox, a mouseclick was recognized once per item, but no more. Using alt + ctrl + del results in the icon for the system monitor showing up in the tasktray, but nothing more. I could not interact. I rebooted it in safe mode and used system restore to take it to about 3 days back. (I haven’t had any other day work so far and I’ve tried at least 10 different days.) I thought it had fixed it, and I left the computer running all night with no programs open. In the morning, I went to firefox and after about 10 minutes, everything locked again. Rebooted and tried internet explorer with the same result. I just now removed firefox 3.0 and then installed 3.5, but that didn’t change anything. While downloading new nvidia drivers (I suspect that it’s a graphical problem) the system locked again and I just now rebooted. I am very frustrated. Neither AVG nor SpyRemover find any viruses or other malware. They’re both up to date. Part of what is bothering me is that there are no symptoms of viruses or malware outside of this. In some ways, that would almost be preferable. At the moment though, I am stuck, so please do what you can to help.

I’ve been ripping songs off of videos using video2mp3 for a really long while and then a week ago, I got a computer virus–but I don’t think it was from ripping but could it be? It runs on commands making it harder to infect. Currently there only exist about 100 known viruses for linux systems. Where Windows have thousands:P No Anti virus required~

I logged on today and it just wasn’t there. It’s not hidden. I’ve tried putting explorer into the task manager and it popped up for a couple seconds then disappeared again. When I rebooted it, It was there for a couple seconds and again, poofed. I scanned my computer for virus’s and nothing came up with that. Can someone tell me what to do? I’ve seen many of these kinds of questions with no answers that worked for me.

I’ve recently discovered that the a virus (Infopass.Gamestealer to be specific) has somehow made its way onto my flash drive. It is most likely from a computer I share with the other four hundred or so at my school, but I’m unsure how to remove the virus as Norton (Yes, I realize that it’s terrible in terms of virus detection, but it’s all I have.) isn’t detecting it when I scan the drive. As a result of this virus being on my frequently used flash drive, I’ve managed to let it drop some malware (Hacktool.Rootkit) onto my personal computer. Norton only ever detects this one when I turn my PC on and never catches it during any of my scans of the computer. Are their any suggestions as to how I can deal with each of them individually, or even both at once? Thank you all for your help!

I have some hard disk errors on a laptop I’m fixing for a friend. There were probably viruses that removed important system and boot files. I tried the Windows XP recovery CD but it didn’t work. I’m now running a program called HDAT2 to check and repair bad sectors. However, if I decided to use their option of “wiping hard drive/disk”, does the hard drive become useless? Or can I still install Windows on it using an ISO CD?

My computer was running just fine until I visited a normal, news website, one that I visited a 1000 times, and my computer became infected with one of those Fake “Anti-Spyware” viruses. I used both Super Anti-spyware and Malwarebyte’s malware programs to finally get rid of that virus, and I rebooted my computer. The virus is gone, my computer is running fine again, except I can’t use the Internet Explorer or Safari web browsers (I’m using Netscape now). Whenever I open a window in IE or Safari, I get an error message, “Cannot display web page.” This happened once before, and I used the System Restore function to take my computer back to a time before a virus hit. But now, System Restore won’t start, nor can I get my computer to work in Safe Mode. How do I get System Restore to start up again? I tried several different ways, but nothing is working. Help! (I have an HP Pavilion Desktop PC with Windows XP Media Edition). Thanx in advance!
I have tried downloads, on a variety of computers, which run everything from Windows 95, right up through XP. On every computer that I have ever tried, I have tried to stay on “safe” sites, such as Download.com, to download operations programs, screensavers, and so on (Download.com is just an example, of dozens of so-called web-sites I have tried). Wouldn’t you know it, though. At evewry single site, that I can mention, I have brought back viruses, worms, and “tons” of spy-ware. And this is from the “clean”, “safe”, web-sites. I know that the best hackers can penetrate any connection, including D.S.L., dial-up, and any other connection, to inject bad codes into home computers. How can internet users “safely” use the internet, without having to worry about hackers, and corporations, “injecting” garbage into our computers? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I just got kaspersky internet security yesterday and I scaned my computer with a full scan and it found viruses… So I tried to quarantine them but every time i do that it asks me to open a file.. I’ve never seen that from any antivirus programs.. THere is also another option: ” clear all” which deletes report entry.. is that how you delete the infection or is there another way?
o.k. this thing called security tool kept popping up and telling me all these viruses I had on the computer. Well now it completely blanked out my screen making it the only thing visible and everytime I try presing Ctrl + Alt + Delete to go to my task manager it blocks it off with a virus pop up!!! The only way i’m on the internet right now is because I went threw start… PLEASE help me, there is absolutly no way for me to get this of my computer! Now it says it has a firewall up that blocks my internet. This is doing more harm then good as you see obviously.
I have windows movie maker 2.6 and windows live movie maker although windows movie maker 2.6 is preferable as i find it easier to use! I was wondering if anyone knows how to rip videos off youtube (virus free) =) and put them into windows movie maker 2.6 and edit them and stuff. any help would be gratefully recieved! =) lol xxx

When my computer (XP or Vista) is idle for a few minutes, the read-write lamp begins to flash like a defrag or virus scan is running. When I open the task manager, a “system idle process” seems to be active. I have turned off scheduled defragmenting, windows defender and virus scans, and even in my travel laptop with no antivirus this “dreaming” occures. It must be a windows component as this happens even on a new computer, without any third party software. I’d rather not have my hard drive thrashing like this every day if it is not necessary. What the heck is this?

I have upgraded my Laptop to windows 7 and am now having troubles… I think I picked up a few viruses and I am wanting to re-install windows to get my laptop back to normal. The only problem is I am not entirely sure if I can re-use the Upgrade disc. Does anyone know if I can? And if not, what I can do? Thanks in advance for any help and have a great New Year

…My screen saver didn’t come on and the screen went black and said something like ‘video driver and 3-D wasn’t up to date’, so I went to Intel and updated driver and ran some kind of program. My Avira Anti virus come up saying I had malware, I cleaned it. Checked to see if my screen saver came up, it didn’t. So I tried system restore, didn’t work. restored for an earlier time, didn’t work. What is wrong and how can I fix it…without using my recovery disks which it looks like i will have to do. I’ve used recovery several times (E-Machines 7-disk recovery) cause people have got on here and got viruses on here. I feel doing Recovery so many times is straining my computer and I don’t want to keep doing it. Should I just get another motherboard?

I am running Windows XP SP3 and am connected to the internet through a Comcast modem and Belkin router. It says my internet connection is excellent and this problem does not occur on the other laptop in the house. I have tried many things and there are no viruses or firewall problems. I decided to run IE’s diagnostic thing. It said there was some problem, that I was told could be solved by using Winsock XP Fix (because whenever IE tried to fix it, it claimed it fixed it and to restart my computer, but then when I would restart, the problem would still occur and be detected). After using Winsock XP Fix, the problem stopped for a few hours, but is now back again and this program does not solve it anymore. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Okay. So number one problem is I have to type slowly, or my sentences look like this- “elo ow are yo ad wha is going o?” My laptop has touch sensor buttons at the top too that don’t seem to work at ALL. Or the touch pad at all. It’s a dell with vista. I have done virus scans and nothing has came up. I usually use a cordless mouse but it has never affected it before. And if it makes a difference I am on it up to 3 hours a day.

Stupid facebook gave me some nasty viruses. When I logged on, it started popping up very inappropriate sites that I didn’t want to see. It won’t let me open ANYTHING without giving me an error message. I tried to open an anti-virus program but it won’t let me do that either. It keeps popping up a phony virus system that it says I need to buy, but it’s a scam. I’ve already purchased AVG and it’s up to date. I tried logging into a different account on my computer and doing a scan, but the scan is coming back with nothing. I know there is crap on here, I just have to find a way to get around it so I can get it off. I need some help. This is so frustrating. :/ (oh, I have Microsoft Windows. A newer version.)

So I was surfing the internet like I usually do and suddenly Google Chrome shuts down. Now this program called “Antivirus Live” appears to have installed itself. Now as a limited user on this computer, I have no idea this program got in since I can’t download anything anyway. I have gotten its counterpart, Antivirus 2008 before and successfully removed it as a limited user but this one is proving to be a challenge. And I do have security, Mcafee, but it falls short when removing malware. Would any of you happen to know how to get rid of this foul program using a limiter user account?

Thanks to the new video info feature, I knew I was watching Judgement On by Force of Nature at 81 kbps at 44.1 kHz. When I converted it, the quality evidently became 90 kbps at 48 kHz, according to Freez and iTunes. How is this possible?

I have a piece of adware on my computer that I obviously wish to get rid of (it slows down my computer… -.-). Avira Free Version is a perfectly fine antivirus program, but apparently it does not have this (insert obscene adjective here) adware on its detection list. I looked into this adware a bit more and found that AVG should have it on its detection list, which would mean a
for me and a
for the adware… elimation of the adware in other words.

I’ve tried System Restore (I have an XP by the way) and I don’t know what to do next. Do i need to pay for someone to fix it!?

I have a piece of adware on my computer that I obviously wish to get rid of (it slows down my computer… -.-). Avira Free Version is a perfectly fine antivirus program, but apparently it does not have this (insert obscene adjective here) adware on its detection list. I looked into this adware a bit more and found that AVG should have it on its detection list, which would mean a
for me and a
for the adware… elimation of the adware in other words.

So I got a new computer in the middle of October, it is a Toshiba Satellite A500/040, came with Windows vista Home premium. I got a Windows 7 upgrade disc that is only for my computer.

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help with a problem I’m having? I’m connected to the internet and it will let me open google but if I try to open another webpage it tells me the page cannot open. I already checked the firewall and everything seems fine, i also scanned for viruses with Avira and Mallware Byte and nothing showed up. If anyone can help it’d be much appreciated thanks!

Will my antivirus (that is set to run automatically), run even if my computer is shutted down or off. I was just wondering because I set it to run at 5:00am weekly, full scan, but I not awake at that time, and my computer is not on, so is it gonna scan for viruses even though..?
