FAQs

1. WHY SHOULD I TAKE MEDOX?

Medox is primarily taken as a prophylactic antioxidant. Oxidation can lead to mutations in the genes, which in turn may result in chronic disease such as cardiovascular disorders, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer's disease etc. Medox counteracts oxidation many times more effectively than traditional antioxidants such as for example vitamin C and E. This takes place by an unique interaction between the body's own antioxidant system (glutathione) and Medox anthocyanins.

Clinical studies at a Norwegian University Hospital have shown that Medox has a significant positive effect on the common cold and the cardiovascular system.

International studies have also shown that Medox-type anthocyanins reduce inflammation. Medox can therefore also be used with benefit in these conditions.

2. WHO SHOULD TAKE ONE AND WHO SHOULD TAKE TWO OR MORE CAPSULES?

Younger, healthy people who do not smoke, who take regular exercise and who eat relatively large amounts of berries and green vegetables can take one capsule a day. Elderly people, smokers and those who eat limited amount of fruit, berries and green vegetables should take two capsules a day. People who take intensive exercise build up a lower resting pulse and a healthy body. However, intense exercise generates a large amount of oxidative stress. In this case one can benefit with taking more than one capsule a day.

3. CAN CHILDREN TAKE MEDOX?

Yes, children can benefit greatly from taking medox. The earlier that oxidative stress is prevented and the immune defense system is strengthened, the better. As soon as there is no longer a risk of the child getting a Medox capsule stuck in his/her throat when is swallowed (from about 3 years), children can take Medox.

4. IS THERE SUGAR IN MEDOX CAPSULES, OR CAN DIABETHICS USE MEDOX WITH SAFETY?

No sugar in Medox. In addition to bilberry and black currant anthocuanins and some other plant material from the berries, Medox only contains malt dextrin and vegetable capsules. Both of which are based on starch. Diabetics can benefit greatly from taking Medox against oxidative stress and to strengthen the immune defense. Clinical studies on athocyanins have shown that these can stabilize and possibly also reduce the blood sugar.

5. ARE THERE ANY CHEMICAL ADDITIVES IN MEDOX?

There are no chemical additives in Medox. In Medox, the starch malt dextrin is used as an exponent, and the capsules are made entirely of another type of starch: cellulose. Starch is used as an additive in food processing and is not classified as a chemical additive.

6. HOW SHOULD THE CAPSULES BE DISTRIBUTED WHEN SEVERAL CAPSULES ARE TAKEN A DAY?

The dose should be distributed as evenly as possible trough out the day. For example one capsule in the morning and one capsule in the evening. Corresponding distribution if more capsules are taken daily.

7. DOES MEDOX HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS DRIED OR FRESH BILBERRIES?

Medox contains pure anthocyanin molecules from bilberries and black currants. Medox has neither the same destabilizing properties as fresh bilberries. Medox is absorbed much faster and more effectively into the cells than natural bilberries, and therefore has the same effect on health as a relatively large dose of fresh berries.

8. SHOULD I TAKE MORE CAPSULES IN THE COMMON COLD SEASON

If a cold is starting, it is recommended to take a larger dose of Medox Optimal , up to 6 capsules if the cold have taken place.

9. HOW RAPIDLY ARE ATHOCYANINS ABSORBED IN THE BODY?

At the University Hospital in Norway it has been shown that anthocyanins from Medox are absorbed into the cells as soon as about 15 minutes after swallowing the capsules
